Maxi Marine

Supplying the world’s shipping, cruise and offshore fleet with hot water and customised stainless-steel tanks for decades provides unique experience and know-how. Reference projects include Norwegian oil & gas platforms Troll, Oseberg, Valhall and many others, as well as some of the best-known cruise ships in the world. OSO Hotwater holds ISO 3834-2 welding certification (“Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials”) for independent third-party verification. As standard, all pressure vessels are designed according to EN 13445 (“design, fabrication, and inspection of pressure vessels”) and additional certificates are available upon request. Whatever requirement our customers have, we strive to meet them.

Single screen

Already in 2008, Moss Hydro saw the need for better filter solutions in cleaning of ballast water and it was clear that shipboard constraints and the characteristics of ballast water called for innovative solutions.

We travelled around the world educating shipowners and yards about the Ballast Water Management Convention and the impact this would have for owners and yards in the years ahead. It became clear that Ballast Water Treatment presented new challenges, which the existing filter solutions could not solve.

The solution was Super Duplex housings at a price comparable to that of carbon steel with unique product quality and extreme weight savings in the range of 50 – 70%.

MossHydro’s aim is to exceed customer’s expectations for quality, reliability and performance.

Single screen filters are available for flow rates between 250 m3/hr. – 1.000 m3/hr.

Filter Screen

MossHydro utilises a robust multilayer screen where the weave wire filtration layer is sandwiched between multiple layers for additional structural integrity; Minimal wear and tear results in improved performance and less maintenance. The filters also come with easy identifiable wear indicator for the cleaning head. MossHydro offers Best Available Technology for self-cleaning of the filter screen. This is the most critical requirement for smooth operation.
